Physical Description: Small
but strong frame. Good athlete, minimal remaining projection.
Hit: Starts slightly open with his hands
high. Pronounced leg kick timing device. Violent swing that he
gets his entire body into. Very quick hands, plus bat speed.
Makes a lot of contact in the air. Approach is a work in
progress. Will chase frequently, tends to be overly aggressive.
Does damage against low velocity fastballs, shows the ability to
pick up spin. Struggles against offspeed.
Power: Above-average raw power. Hits the ball
hard. Makes a lot of contact in the air, specifically to the
pull side.
Run:
Average speed. Not a major stolen base threat.
Field: Will initially be developed at both second base
and shortstop. Not a standout defender, but should be solid
enough to stay in the infield. Has also played outfield in the
past, which could provide an avenue to versatility down the
line.
Arm: Average arm strength.
Profiles best at second base. |

Career Notes: Followed both
his grandfather and father in playing baseball at Arizona.
Played for Brewster and Chatham in the Cape Cod League.
Graduated as Arizona's career leader in extra-base hits and
second all-time in home runs.
Summation:
Potential bat-first infielder whose upside will be determined by
how his hit tool develops. Checks a lot of boxes with what the
Red Sox look for in players with his ability to impact the
baseball. Extremely quick hands, hits the ball hard
consistently, and can elevate to the pull side. Approach and
contact skills are both works in progress, creating a wide
amount of variance in his hit tool. If he hits, has MLB regular
upside. Not likely to add a ton of value on defense, but also
will not hurt a team there and could develop positional
versatility.
