Physical Description: Medium
frame. Filled out. Sturdy lower half. No remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a low-three-quarters
arm slot starting on the third base side of the rubber.
Effortful delivery. Drop-and-drive delivery with a low release
height that is tough for hitters to pick up. Almost side-arm. Head whack and
harsh recoil, falling off the mound hard after he lands.
Fastball: 92-94 mph, tops out at 96 mph. Pitch shows sink and run. Groundball-generating
offering. Command and control can be inconsistent.
Slider: 82-87 mph. Keeps it in the zone.
Pitches off his slider, utilized a decent amount more than his
fastball.
Changeup: 82-85 mph.
Third pitch. Pitch is on the firm side, but flashes drop.
Curveball: 79-82 mph, can reach 85 mph. Long, horizontal sweep.
High spin rate.

Notes: Drafted by Toronto in 2023 but did not sign.
Pitched for Bourne in the Cape Cod League in 2023. Did not pitch
in 2024 after being drafted by the Pirates. Traded to Boston in
December 2024 for Enmanuel Valdez.
Summation:
Undersized righty with a pure relief profile and intriguing
pitch characteristics. Sinker and sweeper both have high spin
rates and play up due to his deceptive delivery. Needs to work
on command and control, but could develop into a solid
organizational arm in the high minors with a chance at a cup of
coffee.
