Physical Description:
Athletic, average pitcher's frame. Minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm
slot, dropping down from high-three-quarters after he moved to
the bullpen in 2024 and keeping the change after that point
regardless of role. High leg kick from the windup, but comes up
much lower with runners on base. Short arm action and crossfire
delivery provide deception. Repeats delivery well. Low release
point is tough to pick up.
Fastball:
89-92 mph. Tops out at 94 mph. Throws both a four-seam and a
sinker, with the four-seam at the top of the velocity band and
sinker at the bottom. After moving to the bullpen in 2024, began
to primarily use the sinker over the four-seam and his cutter.
Throws a ton of strikes, advanced command of the offering. Does
not miss many bats, but gets a lot of weak contact. Plays above
velocity due to command. Fringe-average potential.
Changeup: 83-86 mph. Throws with a
circle-changeup grip. Shows arm-side run and drop. Potential
difference-making pitch that has shown bat-missing ability in
the high minors. Advanced feel and confidence in pitch. Will
throw in any count to both righties and lefties. Potential plus
offering.
Curveball: 78-81 mph. 12-to-6
shape, but does not consistently snap it off. On the loose side.
Rarely used and primarily deployed to steal a strike early in
counts. Below-average potential.

Slider: 85-87 mph. Gyro-slider with short,
horizontal movement. Rarely used since his move to the bullpen
and in 2025. Below-average potential.
Career
Notes: Got the nod ahead of two 2020 MLB draft
picks as the Friday night starter for Miami. Was one of the most
sought-after seniors in the 2020 undrafted free agent class
following the shortened, five-round draft. Spent three seasons
at Broward College, missing his first two due to injury, before
transferring to Miami. Participated in 2020 Fall Instructional
League. After struggling in the Triple-A rotation to start the
2024 season, moved to the bullpen (making occasional spot
starts) in May while making changes to his arm slot and arsenal
that led to success in the second half of the season. Received
an invitation to MLB Spring Training in 2025. Began the 2025
season in a swingman role, but moved into a truer starting role
when injuries at the MLB level thinned the Worcester rotation,
and posted good results. Received his first MLB call-up in early
June 2025 when the team needed an additional depth reliever but
did not pitch, and was traded to Cincinnati after being
designated for assignment.
Summation: Projects as an up-and-down depth
arm. Ceiling of a 6th/7th starter or bulk reliever. Unlikely to
hold down a consistent rotation spot, but could be a valuable
depth arm given his ability to throw strikes and pitch multiple
innings in any role. Had some success after moving to the
bullpen in Worcester in 2024, dropping his arm slot and
primarily relying on his sinker and changeup, but moved back
into the rotation in 2025 and was very impressive. Advanced
command and plus changeup give him a high floor. Breaking ball
needs significant refinement. Always competes, used to pitching
in big spots. Strong pitchability and feel on the mound.
