Physical Description:
Skinny pitcher’s frame, listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. Some projection,
but thin waist likely won’t support much additional size. Athletic.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm slot.
Controlled, low-effort delivery. Hides ball until late. Solid extension
and some arm speed. Medium leg kick, finishes high and doesn’t bring arm
through consistently.
Fastball: 85-88 mph.
Straight, well below-average command and control. Lacks life, doesn’t miss
bats.
Curveball: 67-75 mph. Throws two variations,
one long, sweepy one at 67-70 mph and another, sharper version at 74-75
mph. Doesn’t consistently snap off. Harder version shows slightly more
potential, but both project as below-average offerings at best.
Changeup: 80-81 mph. Firm, looks like a fastball he took
something off of. Well below-average potential
Summation:
Left-hander has some arm speed and deception, but stuff doesn’t match.
Will struggle to get out of the low minors. |
