Scouting Report: Solid defensive catcher wit ha strong arm and good game calling ability. On offense, Shoppach makes below average contact but shows decent power. Average plate discipline - will take some walks but also strikes out a lot. Slow on the base paths. Above-average backup catcher at the major league level.
