Physical Description: Tall,
medium frame with no remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm slot
starting on the extreme third base side of the rubber. Crossfire
arm action from a lower release height. Plus extension.
Fastball: 93-95 mph. Tops out at 96 mph. High
spin rate and flat approach angle. Solid command and control
profile and misses bats at an above-average rate. Tough for
hitters to pick up. Also mixes in a 92-93 mph sinker and an
89-91 mph cutter.
Slider: 82-84
mph. Shorter, two-plane break. Able to land in the zone, but
struggles to consistently miss bats. Potential fringe-average
offering.
Changeup: 84-86 mph. Pitch
shows late fade down and away from righties. Rarely throws, but
does flash bat missing ability when it is competitive. Potential
below-average offering.

Career Notes: Missed the
second half of 2024 after undergoing an internal brace
procedure. Returned in May 2025, making it back to Double-A just
under a year after he last appeared in a game. Was added to the
Pirates' 40-man roster in November 2025 to protect him from
selection in the Rule 5 Draft. Acquired in December 2025 along
with Johan Oviedo and Adonys Guzman for Jhostynxon Garcia and
Jesus Travieso. Dealt with back tightness early in Spring
Training in 2026, but pitched well after returning, not allowing
any runs in four appearances.
Summation:
Potential up-and-down left-handed reliever. Ceiling of a middle
reliever. Despite being behind on the age advance scale, he
might have untapped potential given the improvement he made in
2025. Cleaned up delivery and saw his command and control
improve considerably in 2025 when he returned from injury.
Fastball is major league quality, but secondaries need work.
Good candidate for the Red Sox pitch design program to find a
consistent breaking ball and refine his changeup.
