Physical Description:
Athletic frame with a big lower
half. Still has room to fill out despite aleady being in pro
ball for several years.
Hit:
Wide stance with a prominent toe
tap. Fidgets his feet in the box. Uppercut swing, can get very
long. Turns on the ball, creating a lot of torque with a
tendency to be pull-heavy. Solid plate discipline, doesn't
strike out a lot. Average hit tool with a chance to develop
further.
Power:
Fringe-average present power,
could add strength if he fills out more.
Run:
Below-average runner.

Field:
Was primarly a
third baseman up the minor league ladder, with some first base
and second base peppered in. Played primarily first base in
2019, which is likely where he ends up. Marginal defender
without a ton of range. Plays smart in the field.
Arm:
Decent arm.
Career Notes:
Younger brother of MLB utility
player and former top prospect Jurickson Profar. Has played at age-advanced
levels most of his career. Signed as a minor league free agent
in 2020 but did not receive an invitation to MLB camp.
Summation:
Likely profiles as high minors
depth, but could force his way to the majors with his hit tool.
Lack of defensive contributions could limit that.
