Physical Description: Solid
frame with minimal remaining projection. Strong upper body.
Fringe-average athlete.
Hit: Starts
slightly open with his hands high. Short leg lift and gets foot
down quick, ending up in a good hitting position. Fluid swing
with a slight uppercut. Solid bat speed. Has shown the ability
to turn on velocity. Struggles with recognition of secondary
stuff, especially breaking balls. Poor splits against lefties. Aggressive hunting fastballs
and rarely takes a walk. Has swing-and-miss in his game,
moderately high chase rates. Needs
to improve his approach and become more selective at the plate.
Power: Above-average raw power with solid
exit velocities.
Strength-based swing with power primarily to the pull side.
Future power potential depends on development of his hit tool.

Field: Has
primarily played first and third base since signing, with some
time in corner field as well. Also played all over the diamond in
college, spending time at first base, third base, shortstop and
corner outfield.
Arm: Average arm strength.
Career Notes: Originally drafted by
the Pirates in the 23rd round of the 2018 draft. Attended East
Mississippi Community College as a Freshman. Named to the MACJC
All-Region team that year after leading the team in almost every
offensive category.
Participated in the 2021 Fall Performance Program. Began the
2023 season on the injured list after suffering an oblique
injury during Spring Training.
Summation:
Profiles as a high minors corner infielder. Bat-first profile,
but needs to refine approach to reach his potential.
