Scouting Report:
Physically imposing right-hander. Up-tempo delivery with a
short, quick arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Heavy
four-seam fastball sitting 90-95 mph with late running action,
which he pairs effectively with a sharp, high-spinning slider, a
tight cutter, and a deceptive changeup showing arm-side sink.
Generates swings-and-misses, but control and command are
erratic. Bounced back from being cut by his high school varsity
team to earning a major role at Wake Forest University before
being drafted. Has played in Taiwan with the Rakuten Monkeys.
High minors organizational depth. |
