Scouting Report: Gabbard was traded to Texas in the deal for Eric Gagne in 2007, and was reacquired in April 2009 for cash considerations. Struggled in 2009, spending significant time rehabbing in Extended Spring Training and Lowell.  Re-signed to a minor league deal during the offseason. He throws a high-80s fastball, a low-70s curveball, a changeup, and an occasional slider.   Effective against lefties.
