Physical Description: Tall frame with long
levers and remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a low-three-quarters arm slot. Starts on the third
base side of the rubber. Well-above-average extension at 6.9
feet on his fastball. Controlled delivery. Medium-high leg kick.
Short arm swing behind and clean coming forward. Repeats
delivery well.
Fastball: 87-90 mph.
Topped out at 94 mph in college. Pitch plays above its velocity
due to his extension and gets on hitters quickly. Throws strikes
and is consistently around the zone. Will also show a two-seam
variation on occasion.
Slider: 76-80
mph. Long, sweepy shape. Primary secondary offering. Flashed
bat-missing ability in college.
Changeup:
79-82 mph. Has arm-side fade more than drop. Used sparingly, but
flashed bat-missing ability in college. |

Career Notes: Father played college baseball,
mother made the Tennesee Tech hall of fame playing basketball, and his brother played
college baseball. Set the Georgia state high shool record for
career ERA (0.71, while going 17-1 with 300 strikeouts in 157.1
innings prior to college. Spent two years at Florida before
transferring to Auburn for his junior season. Pitched for Cotuit
in the Cape Cod League in 2024. Was named a Freshman
All-American by Perfect Game in 2023 at Florida.
Summation: Projectable pitchability left-hander
who needs to add velocity, but throws from a tough arm slot and
has very good extension. Intriguing arm to take a chance on with
a late-round pick who fits the mold of lefties the Red Sox have
been able to elevate.
