Physical Description: Medium,
athletic frame. Sturdy lower half, some remaining projection in
his upper body.
Mechanics: Throws from a
high-three-quarters arm slot starting on the first base side of
the rubber. High leg kick which he tucks in behind his lead
elbow. Long arm swing behind. Quick forward from a more vertical
slot and high release. Slight head whack, falls off to the first
base side. Repeats delivery well. Slightly above-average
extension at 6.41 feet on his fastball.
Fastball:
95-98 mph. Has topped out at 100.2 mph. Velocity took off during
his first spring training and jumped multiple grades after he
sat 92-94 mph and topped out at 97.7 mph at LSU as a junior.
Low-spin fastball with solid life. Tough to square up from a
vertical angle. Strong command and control profile. Throws a ton
of strikes, but struggles to miss bats with it. Potential plus
offering.
Slider: 86-89 mph. More
vertical than horizontal. Can really snap off with depth. Lower
spin rate, but missed a ton of bats in college. Does not land in
the zone that often, but throws it competitively enough most of
the time, leading to a high chase rate. Significantly improved
at LSU his junior year. Potential plus offering.
Curveball: 80-83 mph. 12-to-6 shape with a lot of
vertical depth. Throws it competitively frequently and
effectively uses it in sequence with his improved arsenal. Uses
a lot against left-handed hitters. Potential above-average
offering.
Changeup: 87-89 mph. Low-spin
offering with late dive. Feel is improving and is still learning
to consistently land it competitively. Potential fringe-average
offering.

Career Notes: Transferred from
UC San Diego to LSU for his junior season following a breakout
summer in the Cape Cod League and playing for the Team USA
Collegiate National Team. Was the Saturday starter for LSU
behind 2025 3rd-overall pick Kade Anderson. Finished third in
Division I in strikeouts as a junior behind Anderson and
Tennessee's Liam Doyle, the 5th-overall pick. Was a roughly
consensus top 50 draft prospect and fell to the Red Sox at the
87th pick overall. Pitched in the 2026 Spring Breakout game, in
which he was arguably the breakout player on the Red Sox roster
after showing big velocity gains in his one inning of work.
Summation: Potential mid-rotation starter
with ceiling for more if his improved stuff from Spring Training
2026 carries over into the season. Has a polished arsenal and
solid control profile already, and now has shown flashes of
high-end raw stuff. Was seen as more of a high-floor,
lower-ceiling type coming out of college. Fastball was on the
lighter side, but gained velocity quickly in the Red Sox
pitching program. Feel for spin stands out, and both slider and
curveball have at least above-average potential. Changeup offers
a viable fourth pitch but could use some refinement. Solid arm
to add into the Red Sox pitching development program who brings
a different look given his release height and approach angle.
Strong makeup, hard worker.

has seen the player in regular season game action.
