Physical Description: Large,
sturdy frame. Strong with a thick lower half. Filled out, no
remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws
from a high three-quarters arm slot, starting on the first base
side. Quick, medium-height leg kick. Quick arm action. Effort in
delivery. Comes across his body with a long, stiff arm action.
Fastball: 92-95 mph. Tops out at 96
mph. Throws both four-seam and two-seam versions. Four seam
works at the top of the velocity band, two-seam at the bottom.
Four-seam shows life up in the zone and the ability to miss
bats. Two-seam is primarily thrown down in the zone to generate
weak contact. Command lags behind control considerably.
Reportedly added the two-seam version and a cutter in 2022. Has
not shown the cutter in outings scouted in 2023. Potential
above-average offering with refined command.
Slider: 81-83 mph. Long, 11-to-5 break. Inconsistent
shape. Does not play as well in games as you would expect given
spin rate. Fringe-average potential.

Changeup: 84-85 mph. Rarely throws. Clear third
pitch. Well-below average offering.
Career Notes:
Really into ironworking and has a workshop with a forge and
anvil at his home. Three-sport athlete in high school. Barely
pitched in college in 2017 and 2018 due to a knee injury and
then Tommy John surgery. Impressed in the Northwoods League and
was a Northwoods League All-Star. Acquired in February 2023 in
exchange for Franklin German.
Summation:
Potential solid organizational depth reliever. Ceiling of an
emergency up-and-down arm if he can refine his command and
control. Fastball is his best pitch and shows promising
characteristics, but needs to find consistent command and a
secondary pitch.
