Physical Description:
Average frame with minimal projection. Looks his listed 5-foot-11,
190 pounds.
Hit:
Left-handed hitter, starts vertical with his hands high. Simple
mechanics, leg lift and then short, compact swing. Direct to the
ball. Advanced knowledge of the strike zone, solid contact
skills. All fields approach, confident attacking fastballs.
Potential average hit tool.
Power:
Not a major part of his game. Below-average raw power. Doesn’t
project to add much more power. Potential to hit 10 home runs a
year and 20+ doubles if given enough at bats in his peak.
Run:
Below-average speed, not a major part of his game, but does have
solid base running instincts.
Field:
Makes the routine plays. On the stiff side and has a tendency to
field the ball vertically. Average range, more comfortable going
to the glove side than to his back hand. Tendency to let the
ball get deep rather than attacking an early hop. Potential
average defender.
Arm:
Average arm strength. Plenty for second base and passable on the
left side of the infield in short stints. |

Career Notes:
Late round, low bonus draft pick. Has shown the ability to make
contact at every level. Invited to Fall Instructs in 2015.
Struggled mightility against forst exposure to Triple-A in 2018,
ended up getting demoted down to Double-A later in the season.
Non-roster invitee to major league camp in 2019. Solid showing
in Triple-A in 2019 despite missing time with wrist and knee
sprains. NRI to major league spring training in 2020. Not
invited to the Alternate Training Site in 2020. Opened 2021 at
the Alternate Training Site.
Summation:
Projects as a potential emergency call up utility player at the
major league level. Ceiling of a mainstay back-end-of-the-roster
utility bench player. Floor of a solid organizational player.
Could play passable defense at all infield positions and most
likely the corner outfield if necessary. Bat is on the light
side, but projects to hit for enough average with on-base skills
to make up for lack of over the fence power. Strong instincts
and work ethic, gets the most out of his ability and has made
steady improvement since he signed.
