Physical Description:
Powerful, athletic, well-built frame. No remaining projection.
Hit:
Fringe-average hit tool. Open stance, slightly off balance. Level
swing plane, hits to all fields. Below-average pitch recognition
but decent approach.
Power: Above-average power when
he makes contact. Solid extra base and home run potential.
Run:
Above-average to plus speed.
Field: Average defender capabale of playing all three
outfield positions. Better suited for corner at this stage, does
not make the best reads on balls for center field.
Arm:

Career Notes:
Southern Conference Freshman of the Year in 2013. Drafted by the
Twins in 2015, unspectacular production in 2016-2017, but then
named an All-Star in both 2018 and 2019. Traded to San Francisco
at the trade deadline in 2019 along with two other players for
Sam Dyson. Struggled in limited MLB time with the Giants. Missed
a large chunk of 2021 with left knee tendonitis. Claimed off
waivers by Boston in April 2022. Designated for assignment and
cleared outright waivers in both May and August 2022.
Summation:
Profiles as an emergency up-and-down outfielder. Has the ability
to provide value due to power and speed combination and ability
to play all outfield positions. Ceiling of a long-term fill in
or 4th/5th outfielder.
