  Scouting Report & Links      
         
  Physical Description: Veteran minor leaguer with major league backup experience. Small, sturdy frame. Fairly durable.

Hit: At the plate he has a crouched and open stance that closes on pitch approach. Solid bat-to- ball skills and some makings of an approach. Will take a walk. Passable hitter for a major league emergency catcher.

Power: Swing lacks lift; no power potential.

Run: Well below-average speed. Base-to-base profile.

Field: Above-average defensive tools. Moves well, soft hands. Communicates well with pitchers. Not the best pitch framer, can struggle with balls in the dirt.
  Arm: Plus arm strength, but has the tendency to rush his throws so accuracy is inconsistent. Smooth transfer.

Career Notes: Earned a World Series ring with the Astros in 2017. Was the first catcher to throw out Billy Hamilton in the major leagues. Played at the Alternate Training Site in 2020.

Summation: Projects as an emergency up-and-down catcher.
