Physical Description: Tall
left-hander with a solid frame. Long levers. Minimal remaining
projection.
Mechanics: Throws over the
top. Starts in the middle of the rubber. Max-effort delivery.
Quick arm. Stiff, vertical delivery. High leg kick. Rigid,
deceptive arm action. Keeps arm behind before coming forward.
Violent head whack, is looking at third base when he releases
the ball. Falls off hard to the glove side.
Fastball: 92-94 mph. Tops out at 95. Ball jumps on
hitters. In the early stages of developing command and control,
both currently well-below average. Command profile holds his
fastball back. Has previously shown even more velocity.
Potential average pitch at best due to concerns about long-term
command profile.
Slider: 87-90 mph.
Short, horizontal break. Potential fringe-average offering.
Curveball: 83-86 mph. Will add and subtract
velocity. Short, vertical break. Will flash some tilt at times.
Potential average offering.

Changeup: 85-86 mph. Firm, lacks feel. Did not
throw in outing scouted in 2021 and has thrown very infrequently
in 2022. Well below-average potential.
Career
Notes: Struggled as a freshman at Tulane, but emerged
as the team's closer late in his sophomore season. Pitched in
one game in the Cape Cod League in 2018. Signed an over-slot
deal as a draft-eligible sophomore. Participated in the Fall
Instructional League in 2019 and 2020. Participated in the 2022
Winter Warm-Up.
Summation: Potential
mid-minors depth reliever. Ceiling of an organizational
reliever. Will flash major league-quality stuff on occasion,
but concerns about delivery and command-and-control profile hold
back his projection. Really struggles to throw strikes and
current command is poor. Low floor, decent chance he will not
throw enough strikes to get out of the mid-minors. Pitch data is
impressive and grades out well in models. Both fastball and
breaking ball have above-average spin rates.
