Physical Description: Tall pitcher's frame.
Filled-out lower half. No remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a sidarm arm slot. Has been closer to low
three-quarters in the
past. Quiet, easy mechanics. Low leg kick, north-south
extenstion. Marginal control and command.
Fastball: 92-95 mph sinking four-seamer. Throws
the pitch about 40% of the time. Fringe-average pitch. Sinker
has deeper drop and sits 91-94 mph. Induces an above-average
number of swinging strikes.
Curveball: 81-83 mph. Best secondary. 12-to-6
movement, induces groundballs.

Changeup: 86-88
mph. Show-me pitch lacks separation. Arm-side run with late drop
in the zone.
Career
Notes: Drafted by Miami in 2010 and signed from his
commitment to Appalachian State. Converted to the bullpen in
2016 and made his MLB debut that same year. Traded to the Reds
in January 2017. Bounced back to Miami than to Boston.
Designated for assignment and
outrighted in May 2021.
Summation: Middle relief arm that has shown
success due to ability to induce of his whiffs with his four-seamer.
Floor of an up-and-down arm with the ceiling of a solid sixth-inning bullpen arm.
