Physical Description: Medium frame with minimal
physical projection. Average athlete.
Mechanics:
Throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Medium leg kick. Short stride. Controlled delivery. Starts
on the first base side of the rubber, stepping towards the first
base dugout to start his delivery. Shorter arm action in which
he hides the ball behind and then is quick coming forward. Needs
to work on consistently repeating his delivery.
Fastball: 94-96 mph four-seamer. Tops out at 98 mph. Has
struggled to hold velocity at times. Pitch has lacked movement and
has been
hittable in the past, but shape has been evolving as he returns
from Tommy John surgery. Below-average command and control profile. Struggles
to miss bats with the pitch. Potential average pitch with
refinement. Could play up out of the bullpen.
Changeup: 85-88 mph.
Heavy usage. Advanced feel and confidence. Has shown the ability to pull the
string on it with the pitch falling off with late drop and fade.
Will throw in any count, especially against left-handed hitters.
Generates swing and miss. Above-average offering.
Slider:
86-89 mph. Longer, horizontal shape. Some depth. Inconsistent
feel and command, but flashes being a bat-missing pitch. Primary
secondary against right-handed hitters. Potential fringe-average
offering. Historically threw a curveball, phasing that out in
2026.

Career Notes: Participated in the 2021 Fall Performance
Program. Missed two weeks in early May 2022 with a minor,
undisclosed injury. Did not pitch in the final two weeks of the
2022 season, but unclear whether that was due to injury or the
organization being comfortable with his season workload and
shutting him down to make room for FCL call-ups. Had something
of a breakout 2023 season in Greenville, earning an August
promotion to Portland. Participated in the 2023 Fall Performance
Program. Had Tommy John surgery in late June 2024 and will miss
most, if not all, of 2025. Was selected by Toronto in the
December 2024 Rule 5 Draft. After rehabbing with the Blue Jays
in 2025, failed to make the team out of Spring Training and was returned to Boston on April 1, 2026.
Summation:
Potential up-and-down multi-inning bullpen arm with the ability
to spot start. Changeup is a major league-quality out pitch, but
rest of arsenal is on the light side. Continued fastball
development will be key to advancement.
