Scouting Report: Athletic outfielder absolutely dominated Division II competition in 2008 and 2009, setting numerous records. Wilkerson demonstrated above average tools in every aspect of the game during his college run, but he'll need to prove himself against advanced competition in the pros. Demonstrates a lot of positive confidence in the field.  He hits from an open stance that closes down on pitch approach. Tends to fly open somewhat to get in front of pitches. Pull swing, maybe even a little pull-happy.  He keeps his bat more parallel to his shoulder and has a two-handed follow through lower on his back while creating some lift with his swing. Wilkerson has very good speed down the line and an above average arm in the outfield.  Tracks balls hit to the outfield well.  He will need some work catching up on high velocity stuff, as well as hitting to the opposite field.
