Scouting Report: Good defensive catcher with a strong wide frame and great agility behind the plate. Plus arm strength, needs to work on getting a quicker release. He also really struggles blocking balls in the dirt. Loves the game, plays tough behind the plate. Also has spent time at 3B, showing off his athleticism. With the bat, Vazquez isn't very advanced, but he has the frame and the drive to become an adequate hitter with some power. Not much there in terms of speed on the bases.
