Scouting Report:
Strong, athletic frame with no remaining
projection. Starts with an open stance with his hands by his chest.
Utilizes a toe-tap timing device. Doesn’t close his front side completely
in order to get the barrel out early on fastballs. Fringy bat speed,
natural upper cut in swing. Doesn’t walk much, hits a lot of balls in the
air. Above-average raw power, but power regressed all-around offensively
in AA in 2017 with Texas. Below-average runner and not a factor on the
basepaths. Corner-only profile in the outfield. Has been old for the
levels he's played at since he signed. Projects as a solid organizational
outfielder, capable of hitting for some average and power in the corner
outfield. |
