Scouting Report: Amazing athlete with the tools to advance quickly through the system. Excellent bat speed with a smooth swing.  Below average present power, but he's still very young and he could fill out.  If he does, watch out, Tejeda's ceiling could be unlimited.  Plate discipline could definitely use some improvement.  Also struggles with off-sped stuff.  Very good speed, but not a major stolen base threat.  Average glove at SS, decent range, and a strong arm that's accurate but inconsistent.  In 2007 he made a lot of errors early on as he attempted too many off balance throws.  If he fills out his body more, he could be moved to 3B or CF.  Scouts loved him coming out of the Dominican in the summer of 2006, and he signed with the Red Sox for $525,000.  Has impressed with his intellect for his age.
