Physical Description:
Solid pitcher’s frame, looks listed size. Some projection in his lower
half.
Mechanics: Throws from a three-quarters arm
slot. Starts with his hands by head and brings them down then back up in
rhythm. Arm action is slightly long behind. Has slight drop and drive
coming forward during which he crunches up.
Fastball:
89-91 mph. Throws strikes. Limited movement, but can show some armside run
on occasion. Average life, has to keep out of the middle of the plate. Average
potential offering.
Changeup: 84-86 mph. Advanced
feel and confidence in pitch. Especially effective when down in the zone.
Shows late fade and dive in the zone. Average potential.
Slider: 79-82 mph. Long, sweepy. 10-to-4 movement, lacks tilt.
Throws primarily to right-handed hitters. Below-average potential.
Career Notes: Participated in 2016 Fall Instructional
League.
Summation: Received minimal bonus, but changeup is
intriguing offering. Lacks velocity to profile in bullpen role and third
pitch to profile as starter. Changeup allows fastball to play up. Has
three-pitch mix and command and control profile to succeed in the low
minors, but will be challenged as he moves up. Potential organizational
