Elected minor league free agency (Nov. 2018)

Physical Description: Athletic, medium build; not much physical projection. 

Mechanics: Works from first base side of rubber; hands set at shoulder height; no wind-up as he pivots into delivery; three-quarters arm slot.

Fastball: 94-96 mph. Tops out in the high-90s. Pitch has late life. Pitch has shown cut and two-seam movement on separate occasions. Velocity has ticked up as he’s matured, was 91-94 mph during Spring Training 2015. Command and control need improvement. Combination of velocity and movement make it a potential plus-plus offering.

Slider: 87-90 mph. At its best shows hard, sharp tilt. Does a good job snapping off with tight rotation. Has the ability to throw the pitch for strikes and elicit swing-and-misses both within and out of the zone. Potential plus offering.

Career Notes: Suspended for 80 games in June 2017 after testing positive for stanozolol.

Summation: Once an intriguing bullpen arm with the potential for two above-average-to-better pitches and the ability to throw strikes with both offerings and elicit swing-and-misses. Really fell off after his 2017 suspension. No longer projects as a major leaguer.
