Scouting Report: Young 1B from Maori and the Cook Islands.   Playing his high school ball in Australia, received a coveted scholarship to the NSW Institute in 2008.  Strong frame, very high power potential from the left side. Good athlete for his size.  His tools are raw, as he's only been playing baseball for a couple years.   Moanaroa will  spend two weeks in Fort Myers in 2008, then off to the MLB Academy in Queensland, will return to school in 2009, and then likely will join the GCL team in 2010. Signing bonus was $87K plus a college scholarship.
