Scouting Report: Catcher with a tall, medium-sized, athletic frame and some projection remaining. Fidgety wrists upon pitch approach, holds wrists high and barrel level. Wide stance. Medium toe tap, uppercut left-handed swing. Showed flashes of an above-average hit tool and power with NAIA Oklahoma City in 2017 and 2018, but hasn’t had much opportunity to display his hitting skills professionally yet. Average speed, likely won’t be a big stolen base threat. Good movements behind the plate. Average arm. Also has spent some time in center field where he shows solid range. Spent two seasons at the University of New Mexico before transferring to Oklahoma City, where he put up two monster seasons. Got limited time with Lowell in 2018, then participated in the Fall Instructional League. Missed 2019 season after dislocating left shoulder during spring training. Now well behind the curve in terms of age advancement. Profiles as minor league depth.
