Scouting Report: Marquez is a raw pitcher with a lot of potential. Four-seam fastball tops out around 94 mph, but generally sits around 91 mph. Also has a nice splitter, and a slurve that's a work-in-progress. Groundball pitcher. After being selected by the Sox in the 2009 Rule 5 Draft, Marquez spent the 2009 season in the Dominican working his arm into playing shape.
