Scouting Report: Dutch pitcher signed with Boston in April 2008. Tall, thin frame with a lot of projection. Played in European leagues in 2007. The Mets and Yankees also expressed interest in Huijer. Huijer has demonstrated excellent control and a good ability to get batters out. His fastball lacks velocity now, but has a lot of potential once he grows into his frame. Secondary stuff, including a curveball and changeup, is very raw at this point.
