Scouting Report: Speedy center fielder with solid defensive fundamentals. Projects to stay in center. Gets good reads and jumps off the bat. Above-average range and speed. Average arm. Smooth swing with some upward plane in it. Hissey has recently gone into more of a crouch at the plate with his stance to quicken swing load. Below-average present power. Doesn't have the quickest of wrists and tends to slap/slash at the ball. Improving with staying back and allowing the ball to get deep on him. A lot of room to fill out his frame, but physical development has been slow. Good eye at the plate. Improving on creating backspin to drive the ball more frequently. Improved leverage with swing in 2012. Needs work pulling the ball with authority. Does not project to have a lot of home run power, but can develop gap power. Fourth/fifth outfielder potential on a second-division team.
