Scouting Report:
Hertzler possesses a low-90s heavy sinker, a nice splitter, and a solid
curve. Works the zone well, gets a lot of ground outs when pitching
well. Struggles with control of his secondary pitches, and hasn't had a
lot of success against AAA hitters. The East
Providence High School Grad pitched CCSU deep into the college World
Series in 2003, pitching 87 innings before being drafted by the Red Sox in
the 11th round. Lifelong Red Sox fan. |
