Scouting Report: Athletic and lean body type. Potential to add
more strength as he matures. Fastball sits 91-93 mph and can top out at
94. Should grow into higher sitting velocity as stamina develops. Strong
arm. Presently cannot hold velocity longer than short bursts. Tends to
over-throw and hold onto the ball too long when throwing fastball.
Arm-heavy delivery. Picks up pace of delivery prior to release.
Below-average fastball command. Secondary offerings in the development
stages. 78-79 mph breaking ball is slurvy and loopy due to inconsistent
wrist snap. Wraps around the ball. Potential to tighten into a high-70s
curveball. Also working to incorporate changeup into game settings. Raw
overall arm, but has the foundation to develop into power arm as he gets
into his early-to-mid 20s.
