Scouting Report:
Tall Dominican right-hander with a solid frame and room to grow. Max
effort, arm-heavy delivery. Doesn’t use much of a leg kick, but does drive
off back leg to get momentum. Throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Shows
ball behind his body before delivering to the plate, letting hitters get a
good look at it. Fastball sits 94-96 mph, topping out as high as 100 mph.
Below average command leads to him giving up loud contact. 85-88 mph
slider with short break. Presently below-average but flashes
average-to-better potential. Mixes in mid-80s changeup on occasion, but
lacks feel for the pitch. Relies to heavily on his fastball. Needs to
improve command and poise. Ceiling of a middle reliever.
