Scouting Report: Byrd relies on pitchability and deception as his primary tools. None of his pitches are overpowering, but he mixes them and varies his velocities well. His fastball sits in the high-80s with some sink and very good command. Byrd also mixes in a 78-82 mph slider, a 73-78 mph curveball, and a 72-76 mph changeup. Throws all of his pitches for strikes. Clean mechanics.
