Scouting Report
: Intelligent and athletic lefthander with an over-the-top delivery. Throws an 87-89 mph four-seamer with little-to-no movement. Best pitch is a 74-78 mph slider with hard, late bite that keeps opposing hitters at bay. Also incorporates a mid-to-high-70s straight change that keeps hitters off balance with nice velocity separation from his fastball. Missed the 2010 season after having surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow.
