Scouting Report: Britton's fastball sits around 92 mph, tops out at 94, and shows some good life on occasion. Leaves it straight and up in the zone a little too often, where it can get knocked around. Also makes use of a plus mid-70s 12/6 curve that has the potential to be a plus plus pitch. Has an 80 mph changeup that needs work, but it's coming along. Three-quarter delivery. Control and command are inconsistent. Needs to work on sustaining velocity. When he gets flustered he can show his pitches too much. High ceiling. October 2008 TJ Surgery caused Britton to miss most of the 2009 season. Since returning from surgery, Britton's fastball has been sitting at 93 mph, regularly getting up to 95 mph, and topping out at 97 mph. His mechanics look great, but it's going to take a little while before he gets his command back.
